π½ Glass Gem Popcorn Seeds β 50 Seeds Per Pack Grow a rainbow in your garden! Glass Gem produces beautiful ears with jewel-like kernels in shades of blue, pink, purple, yellow, and more. Every ear offers a different mix of colors. Developed by Oklahoma seed saver Carl Barnes through years of selecting and crossing traditional Native American corn varieties, Glass Gem was later shared and further selected by grower Greg Schoen. Dried kernels can be popped, ground into cornmeal, or left on the cob for colorful decorations. This is popcorn/flint corn, not sweet corn for eating fresh. Popped kernels do not retain their rainbow colors. π± Growing tips: β’ Plant in full sun after frost danger passes and soil warms to about 65Β°F. β’ Sow about 1 inch deep, spacing plants 10β12 inches apart and rows about 30 inches apart. β’ Plant in a block of several short rows for better pollination. β’ Provide fertile, well-drained soil and consistent water, especially during tasseling and ear development. β’ Allow approximately 100β120 days to maturity, depending on conditions. β’ Harvest when husks are dry and brown. Continue drying in a sheltered, airy place before shelling. Each packet contains 50 seeds for planting. Kernel colors and growing results naturally vary. πΏ
